3.5 pounds of Fresh Yellow Barhi Dates. These are fresh, not dried dates.
We take the time to harvest our yellow dates one string at a time. Not all the strings on a bunch of dates will ripen at the same time. So we carefully select the strings that are at the peak of sweetness, just before they start to turn soft. That way you get less tannin, more sweet, more flavor and a great tasting fresh date.
If you store these on the counter and they start to turn brown, they are not going bad. In fact many people want them to start turning soft. When they do they become like date pudding with date syrup dripping from them and they are truly amazing! If you want them to stay crunchy keep them in the refrigerator and they should stay crisp for 1 to 3 weeks, depending on what they had to endure in shipping.
Fresh yellow dates are more crisp and crunchy than an apple. Sweet with some tannin which gives them a little dry effect when you first bite into it. The dry is soon replaced by sweet delicious flavor as you chew. If you have never tried one it is completely different from a dried date texture and flavor. As much different as a grape is from a raisin. A little tip on eating them. When you first bite chew at the front of your mouth until the water in your mouth starts to neutralize the tannin. This will quickly release the sweetness and great flavor.
We grow these on our small farm in Indio CA. We use regenerative practices which exceed organic. We never use chemicals of any sort, so your dates will be clean and wholesome.
We only ship on Monday and Wednesday so your dates do not have to sit in the post office over a weekend and you get them as fresh as possible.
About returns. If you are not happy with our product we will refund your money. We don't show that we do returns because Ebay's ridiculous policy is to issue a return postage label without asking us. Since we CAN NOT accept food items back, especially perishable food items, for health and sanitary reasons, its ridiculous to return them and waste the postage, money and your time. So, just message us and we will work out your refund with you directly. We will only refund the cost of the dates, not the shipping.
