    Kandak
    is an apricot variety distinct to the Ferghana Valley of Central Asia. Kandak is dried directly on a tree, canned in its own juice, thus preserving all the nutrients and vitamins of the fresh apricots. It is also harvested from the wild apricot trees, growing only in some areas of Central Asia. For its taste, Central Asians lovingly call it Kandak, meaning “sugar-like apricots”.
